 How to use blogs to generate promotional ideas

Many companies are reaching out to bloggers to help them promote their products and services.  I follow a lot of women bloggers and see which promotions seem to catch on.

Here's a brilliant example from the folks at CMT Adventure Country.  They created an action figure for Allison Worthington.  Now, the idea alone is terrific. But if you know Alli, it makes it that much funnier.

In a promotional effort to promote their shows, CMT Adventure Country created a personalized action figure for blogger Allison Worthington.  Here's what Alli had to say,

It’s not everyday you get a package in the mail that has something this cool.

I have my very own action figure.

How crazy is that? She’s from the wonderful people from CMT Adventure Country as a promotion for two new shows.

Having my own action figure and all, I decided to see if I could take a break and let the super powers of Action Alli take over with the boys & my household for the afternoon.

Here’s what happened…

Alli went on to share pictures of her action figure taking over her motherhood duties.  Priceless.

The comments on the blog post were even better.  Not only did Alli get into it, so did her readers. 

I think Action Alli needs to borrow some of REAL Alli’s smokin’ footwear – like those hawt boots.

Anyway – HOW FUN!!!

Imagine the photo and video opportunities of personalized action figures for moms. (Can you say "viral.")  It's a social media dream come true.  

If you're marketing to women or to moms, read their blogs.  See which promotions capture her imagination and the imagination of her readers.
